Deer Stalking Estates
We manage the roe deer population (a native species) on several
estates in Northumberland over an area covering 10,000 acres in
total. Our aim is to conserve a fit and healthy population of roe
deer and balance that with the task of reducing the considerable
damage deer can do to plantations and crops. The ground is diverse
and varies from mature hardwood plantations, typical agricultural
farmland and commercial pine forestry. The deer management is all
carried out under a fair chase, ethical control policy.

The terrain is of mixed habitat and of varying difficulty. The
lowland farm estates are typical English farmland with easy terrain
presenting no difficulty to guests varying ability.

The commercial pine woodland is on higher ground, set among the
hills of Northumberland in the heart of Hadrians Wall country, more
isolated and therefore more challenging.

At Geenlee we are happy to take up to two rifles maximum per stalking
